keepthru

For teams

For whoever answers "where are we on this?"

A Head of Delivery, an engineering manager, an agency PM: someone who owes clients things that other people are building. Keepthru keeps the promises in one place and watches the work for you.

A Tuesday, with Keepthru

What a delivery lead's morning looks like once the promises are written down.

  1. The Digest arrives as a Slack DM: two things went Stalled, the client deck you owe is At risk, three Look done, nine new Requests.

  2. You confirm two that Look done: a pull request merged, a card reached Done. The third gets "Not yet".

  3. Nine Requests from Slack, Jira and GitHub, triaged by keyboard in two minutes. Three become Commitments, two go to Alice and Bob.

  4. Alice's billing migration is Stalled: the pull request has been open five working days. You send a Nudge from your own Slack. Her reply at 11:00 is Evidence, and the flag clears.

  5. A 1:1 with Bob: four Check-ins, one Decision, one new date. Each lands on the Commitment it's about.

What a team gets

Needs me and Waiting on

What you owe on one screen and what others owe you on another, with what has gone quiet first.

Evidence from where work happens

Pull requests, cards, issues and threads attach to the Commitment they move. Link rules attach a channel or a board for good.

Triage

Asks from Slack, Jira, Trello and GitHub come in as Requests. A model on our own server sorts real asks from chit-chat, and no message text leaves it.

Nudges in your name

A short message from your own Slack, drafted for you. Several things one person owes go in one Nudge.

Projects, Dependencies and the Map

Break a promise into parts owned by different people. See what is held up by what, and who carries the most.

The Weekly review

Walk everything Stalled, At risk or Looks done once a week. It ends with Status write-ups ready to forward to clients.

The Plan

Block time for what you owe and it lands on your Google Calendar, beside your meetings.

Checklists and a board

The inputs a Commitment waits on, asked of the right person, and a board of your team's Stages that follows Trello and Jira.

Guests for clients

Share a Project with a client's people. They see where it stands and keep their own parts current, without a paid seat.

Only the people who chase pay.

Leads keep track of what others owe them, and have a paid seat. Contributors keep their own Commitments current and hand parts on, free. Guests see only what you share, free too.
